Mission

To facilitate and promote the exchange of information and knowledge in the fields of information systems, telecommunications, and cybersecurity.

Scope

Study Committee D2 provides guidance, shares knowledge, and develop best practices and publications in areas of information systems, telecommunications, and cybersecurity throughout the entire electricity supply chain.

Main Areas of Attention:

Application of information technology to the critical and core business systems in the electricity supply chain, including smart meters, asset performance monitoring and management, energy management systems (EMS), Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine Learning / Big Data;

Reliable and agile telecommunications solutions to support information exchange between systems and between participants in the electricity supply chain, including efficient exchange of information between various participants via data and system interoperability;

Cybersecurity issues, including governance, policy, architecture, design and implementation.
