The main objectives of GCC CIGRE are to facilitate and encourage the exchange of technical and technological information among its members and between them and other competent sectors in GCC Countries. GCC CIGRE devotes special attention to the fields of power generation, construction and operation of substation and related equipments, construction, insulation & operation of HV transmission lines and introduction of power interconnection systems, operation and protection.
GCC CIGRE pursue to achieve its objectives through the organization of conferences & seminars, discussion of operational obstacles in the field of electric power systems in member countries, cooperation with similar organizations, corporations associations and teaching staff at different universities throughout GCC Countries and the encouragement of scientific studies and researches on local, regional and international levels.
